- In designing the palette of 72 colours, preference was given to pigments offering the greatest trancparency, without prejudice, attempting to achieve top colour quality and lightfastness in the simplest way.
- 52 of the 72 colours are pure, consisting of a single pigment bound with authentic top quality gum Arabic from Kordofan in south Sudan, considered the best binder in the fine arts, and distilled water.
- They contain no waxes or thickeners (no manufacturing shortcuts).
